Tomato plant problems
The leaves on some of our tomato plants are turning black and curling up. I've never seen anything like it. Anybody got any ideas?

God must be visiting a plague upon your crops. Either that, or your next door neighbor is a witch.

Well, I'd ask her about that, but I don't want to be turned into a newt.

Is the discoloration more in the purple spectrum than black/ brown ?

We were looking at that, but this looks more black than purple.

The discoloration in the venous structure of the leaf points more towards a nutritional defiency than a virus/ bacteria/ insect problem. Do you live where you need to lime your soil? You can contact your local ag center and find out what minerals your local soil lacks. Purplish coloration might be a phosphorous defiency. But I am stumped!
