RE: Yes or no?
Yes! I just watched that two weeks ago when it popped up on my Netflix. It was absolutely awful, but I couldn't stop watching. It was like a gruesome car wreck that is both appalling and fascinating. What parent could watch their child weeping, wailing, and falling on the floor in agony and think this is a good, normal, healthy thing? Anyone with good boundaries would scoop up their child and RUN from such emotional abuse, so I felt quite angry at the parents for not doing a better job of protecting the young of the congregation. I also felt very bad for the young preacher, Levi. He seemed introspective and reflective and I hoped for him that someday he will be given an opportunity to listen to the views of others with an open mind and to decide for himself what he believes and why. This is the way I am approaching religion with my own two children now. I am an atheist and my husband believes, and our children are free to choose whatever path that makes sense and will enrich their hearts and minds.

My room mate and I watched it a couple of months ago and it was insane. How can you put your child through that kind of torture and call yourself a good parent?

Just watched and i really couldn't watch it to the end. It was almost like watching children being physically abused its so twisted.

Unfortunately the parents who allow this are so twisted they don't see the wrong in it. But it really is child abuse and going to leave these kids mentally fucked up for many years to come, if not for their whole lives.

I follow another link to a kid questioning his faith at Jesus Camp and I so wanted to reach out and offer him my support. I almost cried.

Thor Wrote:The scene that makes me want to reach into the picture and choke somebody occurs when they talk to the kids about abortion. One of the adults brings out a display that supposedly shows the development of a fetus. The adult pulls out a model that is meant to show the kids what a fetus (of course, they call it "a baby") looks like at five weeks. The thing looked like a fully formed baby, with the exception that it was about two inches long!

This is a perfect example of how these fucktards lie to the kids! A five week old fetus looks more like a tadpole than a human baby!

That is one thing they should not be able to do (blatant misinformation about scientific knowledge), or at least not without a reminder stated that there is some inaccurate stuff in there (or it is fictional).

Perhaps it would be more educatory if the children were to look at mice as fetuses alongside humans Sleepy

What's really scary is knowing that fundies can look at this movie, even watching the interviewer's commentary during the movie, and have no idea it's a negative portrayal.

Oh yeah. Mainly it's because it "shows the power of god?" I guess. I'm not really sure.
