Relevance? America has a history of dictating Mexican policies. As Trump said, Mexico will pay for the wall.

Then tell him he can shut his trap about us funding it. When he extracts that money from mexico he can do whatever he wants with it, lol. I suspect that, if he actually could manage that miraculous feat..it would be more likely to end up in his pocket than on the border.

RASMUSSEN: PARENTS TO BLAME FOR BORDER CRISIS, NOT GOVERNMENT
"According to a new Rasmussen poll, a majority of Americans blame illegal immigrant parents for the child crisis on the border over the U.S. government.
The media has put a hyper focus on the separation of families at the border over the last several weeks, leading President Donald Trump to sign an executive order ending the separation. Current U.S. law does not allow families to be detained together if the parents are referred for prosecution for illegal border crossing.
However, the Rasmussen poll shows that Americans don’t blame the Trump administration for the approximately 2,000 children who have been separated from their parents.
54 percent of likely voters polled by Rasmussen said that they think the parents are more to blame for breaking the law."

As i've said, the majority of citizens don't like the idea of illegal aliens flooding the country.

Quote:To help understand the current political debate over the children issue, a closer look shows that 82% of Republicans and 56% of voters not affiliated with either major political party feel the parents are more to blame for breaking the law. But 60% of Democrats say the government is more to blame for enforcing the law.
Huh..looks like one particular demographic might be throwing off the averages.....
Now lets take a look at the wording of one of the three questions...
Quote:1* Do you agree or disagree with the following statement - "The United States will not be a migrant camp. And it will not be a refugee-holding facility - it won't be."
Yeah, I can agree with that statement while not agreeing with the president - how they represent the answer..because I insist that it absolutely wont be a migrant camp or refugee holding facility.
There should be no such things.
A survey of 1000 voters, how many of which were trumps alt right base..I wonder...and how many are imagining some terrible crime the parents committed when they "broke the law". LOL..what law.

My two zloty for what it's worth.
I wholeheartedly disagree with separating these children from their parents. That being said I find it insulting to my grandparents, who followed the rules coming here, that these people jump the fence and come here illegally.
And finally. I live here in Arizona and I find it hard to believe that this state could lead the way out of a paper bag much less lead the way for anything of import.

The difference between our southern neighbors and your grandparents is that we have arranged things such that the vast majority who would want to live or work here have no hope of ever being able to do so legally. We have a quota system that limits the numbers of people we will take from any one country. Same number for each country, same number for Finland, Poland, or Mexico.
Of course, Mexico is in walking distance and it would make more sense to allow more legal immigration (at least work visas) from our nearest neighbor, particularly since we have a shortage of Americans willing to do the work we often hire illegal Mexican and Central American immigrants for. But they're generally not white enough to be considered desirable, so we came up with a way to keep them out that sounds fair.

Still doesn't make it ok to jump the fence.

LOL, it used to be your land, you didn't give it up willingly, but if you try to come to the land that used to belong to you, that's immoral! It's ours now, we seized it fair and square! Have the decency to suffer terrible poverty on your side of the fence without troubling us!
I don't think we can resolve this, if you can't see their point of view. I understand your point of view, it surrounds me. If a desperate family crossed the border illegally and it cost you not a penny, their presence would still offend you, because you have your panties in a wad about that particular rule, and blithely overlook or even commit equally heinous malum prohibitum offenses, such as speeding or jaywalking.
