There's more wisdom to be found in the works of Shaw, Yeats, and Wilde than in all the 'holy' books ever dreamed up by feverish malcontents who couldn't bear the thought of other people having a good time.

It impresses me. I think the problem is you don't reflect and don't understand the dark forces that try to keep you away from understanding the divine book.

That’s true. It’s just you have the wrong book, MK. Potter. You’re looking for Potter.

I used to buy halal beef and lamb from a mosque in Arizona. It came in once a week on Thursday. It was slaughtered that morning. The freshness was the reason I bought it. A girl friend and I enjoyed kibbi - raw. I make excellent kibbi. The fresher the better. Her mom made excellent flat bread. I did not give a flying shit about Koranic superstitions. What cracks me up about Koranic dietary rules is the bit about not eating with the same hand you wipe your ass with. What? Do you prepare and cook your food one handed?

I note for a Christian eating meat consecrated to the wrong God, it can eff up their Salvation.

I don't know much about halal or kosher meat except they are more expensive and hence I tend to avoid them. If you have any links you'd want me to read, I will, provided there isn't a giant wall of text and it works properly on my phone.

Dandy. You have the right to be impressed by anything you like. It is true that I don't reflect on the Quran. It is also true that there are no dark forces and that nothing is divine.
If I'm wrong, not to worry. Allah is merciful (it says so, right in your book).

Yet what it means to be compassionate is itself probably one of the hugest disputes of humans that needs to be resolved. Everything has it's place, and we need God to guidance to help us reflect to realize everything it's proper place.
The Quran is not easy to understand if a person doesn't reflect and the most easiest to understand if a person does reflect of all books. But as the dark magic creates knots and locks, there needs to be an intense will when coming to God's book to reflect, but once that get's going, everything becomes easy. And the majestic wonders begin to manifest itself and the easy to remember by the book and the family of the reminder, reminder, becomes easy to grasp.

I can see how convincing yourself that you've escaped an evil curse makes other absurd bullshit much more palatable, up to and including lunch based superstitions.
Bonus, I can even see how a person might convince themselves that they've escaped an evil curse..since they were never under one to begin with. Look ma, no curse!
