If I'm not mistaken, he does mention love of thy neighbor/enemy (one of those, I forget which one). That is something mentioned in the Sermon on the Mount.

Nope. "Matthew" is the only one aware of the contents (or even the occurrence) of the sermon on the mount. A man who spent weeks with "peter", and even met god's brother...but he didn't know shit about god's best act. The time he brought down the house, puns about whores and eyes and plucking things and all..... when people were traveling from everywhere to hear a random loon opine on the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.
To "Paul"..... god was a man in the sky that he saw in a vision on a road.

I was more referring to the fact that themes sounded in the sermon are represented as themes in Paul's writings. This could be taken as evidence that he was familiar with the sermon's contents.
