I see a reference to a movie, but nothing about a series.

Wishful thinking, of course. There's enough material to do several seasons. We could start five or six seasons off with a plague.  Tongue

The CGI for fire breathing flying dragons is probably something done with big screen budgets as opposed to TV series funding.

My version of Pern looks like this:

I can only imagine a 2020ish theatrical release is going to be different.

I read her Crystal Singer series, but I never tried reading the dragon series.

I liked the Dragon Flight series, Dragon Flight, Dragon Quest, and The White Dragon, but her Harper Hall books really got to me. Masterharper of Pern covers the life of the supreme "guiding hand" of Pern, Robinton. Mennoly and Piemur star in the Harper Hall trilogy, Dragonsong, Dragonsinger, and Dragon Drums. Those seven, read in the order presented above, will introduce you to the larger world of Pern, (Parallel Earth, Resources Negligible).

I think T.G.o.T. shows have done all the hard work for TV dragons.

Done well, it could be right up there with GoT. Realistically? It won't be done well.

Why not?

Because Hollywood almost always fucks up their adaptations.
