I believe her. I don't think she was lying. I think she was definitely sexually assaulted at a party when she was 15. What I am wondering about is whether it is a possibility that this may be an honest case of mistaken identity. Only because there are a couple of things that actually do back up Brett's claim of innocence. Like his journal from that summer, and other people saying they definitely were not at that party with him. I hope they investigate this and find the truth. Either a guilty man will finally be held accountable for his crime, or an innocent man will be exonerated. There is no down side here.

Even if he didn't do it - and I think he did - his penchant for evasive, deceptive answer and his temperament make him utterly unsuitable to fill any judgeship, much less on SCOTUS.

I'm -thrilled- there's going to be an investigation but it may matter little.

The guy pulled a Don Jr.  Apparently he was drinking at a party around the time mentioned with the people mentioned.  Kind of funny, since he own goaled himself with another accusation by Beach Week.

That's assuming he keeps wonderful calendars, so wonderful they could totally exonerate him if they didn't, in fact, strengthen the allegations and erode the credibility of his earlier protestations about being such a good boy. Sup Bart, you keep good calendars or what?

On the contrary, IF he is innocent (big if), I can understand why he is angry. Could you imagine being wrongfully accused, in front of the whole world, of sexually assaulting women? Not only does that ruin your career, but your family and your name. Over something you never did. If he is innocent, I dont blame him for acting angry. I think any human would, under those circumstances.
