What do you mean by "criminality by fiat"?

It would probably spell the death of one Bart O'Kavanaugh. I'm sure somebody would do it.

That's the wish. But there are currently 4 conservative judges sitting on the SCOTUS bench, so if another conservative judge gets in there, any progress this country makes is going to disappear.

The reality, is that more likely than not, nothing would happen. Sadly, since 45 got elected, the people of this country have become complacent. Sure, we complain on social media, but there hasn't been a serious enough uproar to actually make anything happen. Think about it. When was the last time an assassination attempt on a president happened? Back in the 80's to Ronnie. I'm not saying that should happen now, but since then, this country has been through a lot of unnecessary shit. We've had wars, terror attacks, hell even a few major hurricanes. How are the people of NO coming along since Katrina hit? Our own country's government let her people down when Katrina hit Louisiana and more than a decade later there are still people living in sub par FEMA housing because their own homes have still not been rebuilt.

Nothing is being done to fix these problems. Roe v Wade gets overturned and nothing will be done about that either. The days of citizens having a backbone and fighting for their rights are over. Riots and protests and sit ins are no longer enough. We keep putting people in office that are career politicians, who have never given a shit about doing the right thing. Reduce their pay to an hourly minimum wage, take away their costly pensions, impose term limits and maybe, just maybe we might see some changes. And that goes for both sides.

The supreme Court is about to split 5/4 conservative. They'll be able to overturn roe pretty much anytime. Which is extra crazy because the country as a whole as never been so in favor of roe vs Wade. Some polls even find the majority of republicans now back roe v Wade. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timeinc.n...icans-poll

I agree with term limits, but barely paying Congress only encourages millionaires to run. A millionaire doesn't care about their piddly congressional sallary. To take it away means no working class person could be in congress ever.

Yes and yes.
In a number of conservative states, state lawmakers have made it so difficult to obtain a legal abortion that it's already effectively outlawed there.
The idea that we could go backward any further than we already have on this issue is unthinkable.

RE: If roe vs. Wade is overturned.
I'm sure conservatives are frothing at the mouth to rid us of Roe v. Wade, Obergefell (at least if RBG doesn't last until Trump's term is up), and Brown v. Board of Education.

If it happens, I think it delegitimizes the Supreme Court. They become a political body who's whims matter more than precedent.

That, and the biggest March on Washington in History will occur.

They certainly don't need the $100,000 + a year they are making now. Not to mention all of the perks? Nope. Not necessary in order to do the job.

Instead of term limits, we need an age limit. Nobody over the age of 65 should be allowed to run for senate or congress. Or President really.
