Video below where Cenk Uygur interviews the Democratic candidate for senator in Maine. The state of Maine has "ranked choice voting" so splitting the vote won't be an issue. Like the video says in any other country Angus King would be seen as a conservative and yet the Democratic Party loves him even though he is an independent.
I remember all the talk about Bernie Sanders and how being an "independent" is apparently a bad thing. How people, especially Bernie and his supporters, should be registered as Democrats. Yet, here we have Angus King, an independent senator from the state Maine, and the Democrats appear to be reluctant support a challenger to unseat him.
Could it be because Angus King a cooperatist who votes with Donald Trump approximately fifty percent of the time?
Is it maybe because Angus King voted in favour Mike Pompeo?
Might it have something to do with the fact that Angus King fights to de-regulate Wall Street?
What happened to "party unity"?
