IF you deconverted in midlife, can you help?
RE: IF you deconverted in midlife, can you help?
I find mindful action is sometimes useful in circumventing despair. When I'm paying rapt attention to something that I'm working on, my attention goes there instead of into a morass of emotions.

I agree. When I get it together a bit more, I want to learn about mindfulness meditation.

When I had breast cancer at 39, it was one of the most stressful times of my life. I've always been an introvert with only a few friends, and I had no local family, so there wasn't much of a support network. A local organization for young women diagnosed with breast cancer was just ramping up, and I went regularly and helped set up the office. When I was there, I didn't think of my worries so much.

No problem at all, just wondering how a baby knows what repentance is, or even what it has to repent for...

Ask the RCC it is their superstition. Of course, you conveniently skipped over the confirmation at 12.

Confirmation is also Roman Catholic church doctrine...

I didn't skip over it, it just has nothing to do with scripture. Children don't need to be baptized until they reach an age where they become accountable for their actions.

For example when the Hebrews came out of Egypt and refused to take the promised land as they were instructed to do, only Joshua, Caleb (who wanted to go take the land) and everyone ages 16 and under were allowed to go into the promised land.

Quote:Matthew 18:10
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Of coyurse you did. You simply trying to wriggle out of the corner you painted yourself into. Typical christian dishonesty.

Let's see..

In trying to determine if infant baptism is a requirement, biblical scripture is pointless? Must I remind you that YOU'RE the one that brought up that you were baptized as a baby? The point is that the Catholic doctrine you were raised in (specifically concerning baptism) isn't supported by biblical scripture, regardless of your personal feelings.
