Poll: What To Do With Defunct Retail Outlets

RE: Poll: What To Do With Defunct Retail Outlets
I wouldn't thing straight away that the best use for the space is public, but whatever private businesses are still doing alright should take their spot, like natural selection.

I don't know how retail shops are located in other places but just in terms of location it would be a really unusual for some of things on the list to take the list of a defunct retail outlet around where I live and I think most of the UK.

They're all grouped together, Argos which was having some problems got bought out by Sainsburies (A big supermarket chain), very large Argos stores are still going though.

Let's say if instead of that Argos got turned into a farm, low price housing or a school, those things would be weirdly slap bang in the middle of a retail park with other shops that aren't doing too badly and all the usual food outlets that you get on a retail park or town center.

I saw a documentary about a man who was trying to start up farms in the more ghetto areas of America. If they were taking the place of retail outlets, because of the location most of these things, they'd probably need a lot of security from random vandalism that happens around city centers and retail parks.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Sure some would make great homeless shelters, some would make great schools (since you already have areas sectioned off for classrooms and a large area for food/cafeteria), some could be converted to other retail idea, some are taking up space and could be made into a park...

In my corner of the country, we need a lot of inpatient drug rehabilitation centers. NH is widely considered to be ground zero for the opioid epidemic, and our rehab facilities/availability is dreadful.

Apparently my home town has the money to build two brand new schools so some do.

I thought school districts in Texas just built football stadiums for the little brain-damaged kids?
