You have no business accusing others of being ignorant of economic history.

You got me, the Bush crash never happened. The great depression never happened. The economic boom post WW2 based on high taxes on the uber rich never happened.

Thanks for the lecture.

The glaring problem with trickle-down economics as I see it is that it takes no account of savings - it assumes billionaires et al spend their money, when in fact most is hoarded.

Wow way to miss the bigger picture.

Trump does not have to personally face me in person and threaten to punch me personally. His rhetoric is that of a bully, the same selfish authoritarian rhetoric we see from closed state's leaders whom bully their populations, like North Korea, Iran and Saudi Arabia. But yea, I also take that fucker personally because he is vilifying me as a liberal making false claims that I want widespread crime and I hate the private sector. He vilifies my innocent non violent neighbors painting them as gang members.

That asshole literally would have been one of the bullies I grew up with whom cornered me in the woods and would have been the ring leader who punched me in the face and broke my nose.

He is a self entitled asshole who's dad taught him to be a bully, and he has been, even in the private sector, long before he ran. He has a long history of stiffing contractors and investors.

A bully is an asshole who cant even back off a war hero.

Let’s get back to our muttons.

You excoriated wyzas for saying he might vote for local republicans. NO ONE in this conversation is talking about voting for Trump.

Take the advice given you earlier and try to stay focused.

There was a time when America's wealth had a conscious and that was post WW2. But Reagan started the age of deregulation and "let the rich do what they want", and ever since the pay gap has exploded.

Again, when people talk about how great Wall Street is doing currently, it is still short term thinking. When people talk about more jobs being added, again, that is short term thinking. It is corporate garbage that does nothing to create economic stability for all zip codes. It is simply a short term sugar high based on Billionaire tax breaks borrowing from everyone else's future.

They cant have it both ways. The argument is if you let the rich get tax cuts, something has to make up for what they don't pay. In the future that debt adds up and if you still say in the future "don't tax the rich" who do they think gets stuck with the bill?

BINGO and exactly. Editz!

They of course 'happened', but the reason you gave for their cause was incorrect.

The post WWII economic boom was similar to how Forrest Gump got rich, the U.S. was essentially the only economy left standing with a quick shift to non-military production.  In 1950 the U.S. produced half of the world's manufactured goods.  Where you could have made a point was that the top marginal tax rates in effect at the time redistributed some of the wealth generated, but was not the cause of the post war strong middle class.  If you choose to explore further I strongly recommend that you look at effective tax rate and not the top marginal rate of 90% that people like to ignorantly throw around.

Um no, the same policies of pre depression "let the rich do whatever they want" that lead to the great depression, is the same attitude that Reagan started that lead to Bush's crash.

I didn't vote!

But to those who did, well done.

Remember, every time you vote Republican, god molests a child.

HA HA HA I wouldn't go that far. My late mother who was mostly voting republican never molested me. But, as I said in a prior post, every time we talked about politics, she would agree with me 90% of the time, but shut down when I asked her if she agreed with me that much why she kept voting for that party. But again, I also said when the orange turd ran, even that was too much for her.

HUH?

Lincoln's party and Teddy's party if they were alive today would have to run on the democratic ticket. Even Reagan would be horrified at what he set in motion.  So I do not understand what you mean by "neo liberal". There are KKK assholes and Neo Nazis who support the orange turd sure.

Why? Because you thought being an atheist meant you could joke with me and got shocked to find out that label doesn't make us sheep?

What the hell does any of this have to do with being an atheist? What, the only true atheists are liberal democrats? The atheists who think exactly like you?

I certainly think you're a sheep.

And don't give me all this high and mighty social defender crap. The whiny victim that you are tells me that all your bluster is because you want things for you. My guess is that I perform more community support activities than you ever will.

You're a spoiled little child who bitches when ever things don't go his way.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
