Is this trolling on my part?

Deb. It's an internet forum... Not everyone's gonna click with everyone...

Then why waste your precious time? Unless you enjoy the drama. Dunno And that's fine too.

I think you should let it go.

ETA: This likely isn't your conscious intent (or maybe it is, who knows) but you come across as wanting everyone to like you. Just be C_L. Some will like you and some won't. And if someone doesn't like you, who cares?

Lemme just state, for the record, having reviews the posts which (I think?) are in question - no, ain’t nothing actionable that I can see.

Would have preferred to see a report on it but whatever. Gotta do what you gotta do, I guess.

Trust me, I dont care what this particular person says about me. I think it is funny actually lol. I was just wondering if my short/sarcastic responses back to him could be considered trolling/egging him on. I always wonder about that when I do it, and I'd like to be able to do it without feeling like I may be borderline breaking the trolling rule. So that's why I'm asking.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I’m honestly baffled by the way CL is treated by people on this forum.

I think that following someone around and posting things out of context of the discussion is trolling.  Not replying to those type of posts.

A report on HIM? I didn't think he was breaking any rules when he did that.

This person and I aren't having a discussion or anything, he makes these posts about me to other people, and just brings up my name even when the discussion he is responding to isn't even about me.

Is it trolling for me to repost to his nasty posts about me with a short response like "love ya babe!" or "lol"
or something of the sort?

Part of me is like, well he brought my name into this and said something nasty, so my sarcastic and short response is warranted. But then I wonder if my response to him could he perceived as me egging him on, since I'm not really trying to talk or anything.

Sorry that is happening and I'm sorry you're the lightening rod for this sort of thing.  My own advice would be to leave off responding to and if possible reading those posts.  I believe your intention was to project a nonchalance you don't actually feel in the hopes of ending it without needing help or looking weak.  But it obviously isn't working out.  Might be time to engage that ignore button.  It has worked for me.

Seriously, just go on as you were.

If you think they're trolling, feel free to report them.

Also, remember we have an ignore feature.
