Opposite of Love

Then they clearly aren't opposites.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. There is place for everything, every emotion, including unforgiving wrath. The only thing that is not allowed, is lack of compassion. That has to embrace everything. Even regarding the devil, the blessed tree pities that fallen creature, while the opposite is not true, that fallen creature doesn't pity anyone, and has no mercy. Yet so many beings believe in the deception of his and he leads many astray in both the Jinn Realms and Human realms.

I voted apathy because that's what I've always believed. But this week of my life has made a great argument for it being hate.

What is your argument for the opposite of live is hate then? If you don't mind sharing that is
