Awesome, so add to schools, and holy places, concerts and bars, why not shoot up a hospital too?

If the manufacturers and sellers of firearms had so much poliitical sway - how much sway would the automotive sector - which is FAR greater in terms of money - have?

If they had the political pull you seem to think the gun manufacturers have - they could sell cars without seat belts, got 3 mpg - and would break down on a scheduled basis.

No- the power is in the people. The voters. The people who like guns and plan on keeping them.

Nope sorry, heard all the horrible arguments. If it worked like the worshiper's claimed we'd be the safest nation on the planet.

THEY are responsible, don't like it, too bad. The makers and their lobby are pulling the same fear mongering bullshit the Tobacco industry used to protect their profits with the "smoker's rights" lobby.

Make you a deal, when we get down to the same level of say Australia or Japan, then I'll consider backing off. I hate having to go to a public place and wonder "if". 50,000 firearm reported interactions. 316 mass shootings(that is 4 or more people being injured or dead).

Not my baggage you refuse to see that one industry and one lobby's leadership are holding the nation hostage.

See, the difference between automotive manufacturers and gun manufacturers is quite simple for anyone with an IQ above their age to understand:

Automobile Manufacturers want their products to be safe, because if they aren't people won't buy them. Same goes for Gas Mileage. It's a selling point to them. The purpose of their product is NOT to kill people. If you hear about people dying in a car crash while driving a Pathfinder, and the Pathfinder earns a reputation as deadly in a crash, then people aren't going to buy pathfinders. So these laws are, to a point, in their interests.

Gun Manufacturers, on the other hand, have a product with one purpose: To kill. So when their weapons kill, they're doing their job. So they don't care how many their guns kill. In fact, the more the better. Especially when it's little children. Because then they can sell more merchandise to psychopathic man-children.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

You must be a farm girl _ cuz baby you can shovel some shit....

Estimates say there are 100 million gun owners in the US --- When you consider that at least.1/4 of the population cannot own firearms by being underage or a convicted felon - that makes it closer to half the.adult population - own guns....

If 10 percent of the gun owners were the homicidal maniacs you purport them to be - everybody would have been dead years ago.

It really pisses me off that the worshipers think it is a call for a fascist state, when all we are about is reducing firearm violence. There is no political party oath to own or keep one. It is stupid to think that democrats don't own them too. The difference is that the sane see that we cant keep doing things the way we are.

The blind have been simply sold fear by the vile marketing of the industry and lobby leadership.

The worst part of it all is I hope that even that side never has to experience a suicide, domestic violence, accidental or mass shooting. They wont even give our side any credit for not wanting it to even happen to them.

The truth is that the lobby NRA used to be something I would have supported, even not owning a firearm myself. But the org got hijacked by the industry and became nothing more than a corporate lobby back in the late 70s.

I used to listen to Howard Stern.

He used to have on this whacked out white supremacist to make fun of the guy. The whackadoodle had a tagline -"Wake up white people!!".

You have a totally different agenda - but the delivery is eerily familiar....

Again, there IS NO POLITICAL PARTY OATH written into the 2nd to own or keep a firearm. SORRY, but since we ARE a politically pluralistic society, THAT MEANS WE, not you, not one party, not one lobby, WE get to decide what our laws are. Don't like that too bad.

I think 10% is a fair estimate.
