Please let me know your point.
The bible should have pictures, unless you want people to use their imaginations and fantasize.

Another lie by an atheist shot down before it got started. Shows how ignorant some can actually be.

LOL what's a lie? That different versions of Bible give different translations? Seems rather like another angry religious person wants to wants to be right but doesn't know how.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

In early 20th century novels (e.g. Henry James) "making love" means something like flirting. Or speaking lovingly to one another.
It's kind of a surprise when you read "the happy couple was making love on the sofa during the party." Even though it's not that kind of party.
I don't know when the Good News translation was made, but it might not mean sex.

And what about flirting itself? When was that invented? I mean is it more believable that a Bible patriarch is flirting with a woman that his dad got him for couple of goats than just screwing her? I mean do you think that they flirted before sex or did he just give her the orders?

Let's be honest here, the Good News isn't what you would call a reliable translation. It's pretty clear they paraphrase rather than translate.

Wait... are you assuming the story is true?
I'd guess it's fiction, written for a purpose, to get some point across. This means that what seems likely to us to be true isn't really important. What we should think about is what point the story makes, why the writer wants to make that point, etc.
The way I read it, the couple is behaving in a playful or affectionate way that makes the observer think they are more than just pals. I have seen people behave this way, and it seems to fit the narrative. It also allows the old-fashioned meaning of "make love" as Henry James used it, and is consistent with what Cherub said about the dictionary meaning of the Hebrew original.

Interestingly, when I was in Catholic grade school (early 1960's) I had to study a bowdlerized version of The St. Jerome Bible. Scenes like that were toned down considerably or entirely missing. For instance, the scene in which Lot slept with his daughters and got them pregnant had been expunged.

It's "codices". The plural of "codex" is "codices".
And if you are that ignorant there is little hope you understand the word anyway. A "codex" might be a compilation but does not necessarily have to be a compilation. They don't have to be biblical either, their subject can be anything at all.
