He asked for a definition and I gave him one from M-W dictionary.  If a well established and trusted dictionary isn't acceptable to him, then no sense going round-n-round about definitions.  Not interested in cherry picking.

You  gave a definition and you provided a dictionary page . Then the he asked you some really good questions you have yet to provide an answer for .

ROFLOL

Says the person who went round-n-round about the definition of atheism. You are a wonder Max. How one person can come to possess so many contradictory beliefs is amazing.

You  gave a definition and you provided a dictionary page . Then the he asked you some really good  questions you have yet to provide an answer for .

I'm pretty sure I responded to his initial questions, but really there was no point in him asking me for a definition if he wouldn't even expect the definition from a well-established dictionary.  Even suggesting a Wiki-page as an alternate source makes it all sketchy, because I can't imagine he would've expected something as lengthy as the wiki link displayed.  Also, wiki pages aren't always reliable considering anybody can make them.  There is value in them as a source, but you also have to take it with a grain of salt and verify what you read. A lot of times the Wiki page will have a note asking for additional citations, so I will give them credit for that, but the fact of the matter is those citations are still missing.

So nothing relevant  then

Apparently he's too dense to even understand the question.
He was asked to explain "complexity" with respect to ID. He didn't (and can't). OBVIOUSLY no dictionary is going to do that.
They must tell us what is the boundary EXACTLY where things are not complex enough (with examples) to require a designer, and where they become complex enough that they require a designer. They can't. They won't. As such, the concept of "complexity" FOR ID, is undefined.

You're not even on the right question.  Was a conversation with someone else.

Again, jumping to conclusions.  Bravo.

RE: Is atheism a belief?
I'm obviously pretty late to the party, but whether atheism is a belief depends on which etymology the word is constructed from.

a+theist = not a theist, and this doesn't require any particular belief
ath(eos) + ist = one who hold the doctrine of not-God as true
