Maybe you're right. I was thinking "I see delusional Christians all the time so why spend two hours or more watching delusional Christians?" But maybe the movie is about it and the approach to Christian's delusions and it gives me some insight on how to deal with them, considering that the main character is a psychiatrist.

I've read that some people are in a right state than the next Bond (this film is Craig's last) might be black or (gasp!) female.

It really wouldn't bother me.  I think it's time we got over the notion that only a white male can convincingly play a chain smoking alcoholic with a penchant for violence and a gambling addiction.
