There may be legal prohibitions for publishing their faces, wherever this happened. However, if it was my gadget, I'd take the videos to the police.

I hope he did, too, and that is one of the reasons he didn't get more destructive with the prank otherwise he would have been on the line for vandalism or destruction of property. My mom wanted him to use a paint bomb like the ones cops put in packages of money that would permanently stain their car upholstery or house. I'm okay with the glitter because it's not only impossible to get rid of, it's also really funny.
What galls me is that the police told him basically that they had better things to do than investigate package thieves. Which means it's a crime with no punishment. So it'll continue to happen.
