Now, wait.  He seems like a 100% grade A gen-u-wine real person.   So I gathered my prayer sticks and formed a 5-Orthoplex to contain all that negative energy.

Dean, You have been cleansed I promise, very soon you will feel a warm noodle like sensation. This may feel like a ban but I promise it's the mighty appendages of FSM. Don't resist them.

It was deleted again.  So I think I've found their best trigger since the time I was in the habit of reminding them that the Bible was written by racist, sexist, genocidal, slave-driving rapists.  Here's the thread I posted:

-------------------------

As an American I have to keep answering whether I'm a liberal or conservative. I'm neither. I think both parties have unforgivably stupid ideas. Here, I want to point out that right-wing Christians are hypocritical in the attacks they make on transsexuals.

Firstly, let's establish that every Christian believes they have a soul. The soul, in fact, is their actual being. A Christian's body is just a vehicle and the soul is the driver.

But what is a soul?

A soul is a transdimensional, immortal, non-physical entity which will be placed into a new body on a "new earth."

So to summarize, conservative Christians laugh at transsexuals, saying, "A man who self-identifies as a woman? Absurd! But let's not mention the fact that I self-identify as a transdimensional, immortal abstraction which will one day be reincarnated on another planet. BTW, those Mormons sure do believe in some wacky stuff!"

I always try to be respectful to transsexuals, not just to their face but also when their back is turned. But I do think that the way Christians self-identify takes this whole fad a little too far. Please, someone give a reason as to why I might be any of these things:

Transdimensional
Immaterial
Immortal

Anything at all, really, would go a long way in establishing Christianity as true.

-------------------------

Transdimensionality:

Space and time define height, width, and length. Due to inevitable heat death, one must exit the universe to live forever. To exit space is to be transdimensional.

Immortality:

John 3:16

Immaterial:

Matter and energy comprise physical material.  To exit the universe is to become non-physical.

Reincarnation:

1 Corinthians 15:35-38

Exoplanet:

Revelation 21:1

Bonus trigger:

Tell Christians that their religion is sorcery.  Sorcery being, among other things, the invocation of a deity or powerful spirit so that it can possess you or guide you.

So you say the Bible was written by "racist, sexist, genocidal, slave-driving rapists"? I can understand how you might say that, because you speak without understanding (or even knowledge, apparently). Your arrogance is so very typical of atheists, and so you fulfill Romans 1:22. It really is that simple. You have no idea how wrong you are.

You write, "So to summarize, conservative Christians laugh at transsexuals, saying, "A man who self-identifies as a woman? Absurd! But let's not mention the fact that I self-identify as a transdimensional, immortal abstraction which will one day be reincarnated on another planet. BTW, those Mormons sure do believe in some wacky stuff!"

Yes, it's totally rational to equate one thing that is easily observable in the physical realm to something unseen in the spiritual realm (/sarcasm). I can tell by looking at a woman that she doesn't have the same body parts as a man, therefore it's absurd to deny the reality before my eyes. On the other hand, you've never experienced death, so what sort of authority are you to claim that the soul isn't trans-dimensional and immortal? You have absolutely no authority to make this claim, and no right to treat anyone who doesn't agree with your worldview as beneath contempt!

I also find it interesting that you say "reincarnated on another planet." You do realize that most Christians don't believe this, right? Even a cursory glance at the commentaries on Bible Hub could've told you this. But that just doesn't fit your agenda of humiliating those filthy, filthy, evil Christians, does it, so why bother looking it up? Or maybe you just think Christians are all idiots, and you simply enjoy turning their humiliation into sport. Either option leaves much to be desired, even by the standards of men.

Many Christians do behave self-righteously, and I understand that it can be maddening when they seem to reject reason and even cast it out from their midst (not saying you were displaying reason, only what you thought to be reason). But that doesn't give you the right to sneer at them all yourself. Try removing the beam from your own eye before dealing with the speck in your brother's.

@Nay_Sayer

I too have spent a very small amount of time on christian forums (two actually) I was banned after a couple of posts, and my content was nowhere near as threatening as yours.

Did you honestly believe they would allow you to attack them by calling them racists etc ? (perfectly true of course, that's what makes it so threatening)

A general principle in dealing with fundamentalists christians especially: They tolerate no disagreement from their dogmatic views. These groups unfortunately attract ignorant and often ill educated dropkicks who are also anti reason, anti science and ant intellectual The proof of that claim is evident in the posts of our most extreme Christian members.

For reasons I understand, but with which I disagree, said dropkicks are tolerated on some atheist forums, including this one.The drivel they post seem to prevent boredom and present comic relief in some of our more easily amused members.

I think those people are as funny as cancer, and dangerous. I mean sheeeet, those fools are Trumps voter base.

The op asked for trigger words, Specifically, ones that really get the goat of those poor lost sheep known as the christians.  I merely provided one

Which one of those accusations is false?

Quote:You write, "So to summarize, conservative Christians laugh at transsexuals, saying, "A man who self-identifies as a woman? Absurd! This is why anthropologists distinguish between sex and gender. A transsexual who goes from man to woman does not go from male to female. Sex is biological and gender is sociological. Biologically, a transsexual woman is still a male, but socially she is a female.

Quote:On the other hand, you've never experienced death, so what sort of authority are you to claim that the soul isn't trans-dimensional and immortal?

Perhaps read the OP again. I didn't say that the evidence proves we aren't transdimensional. I'm asking for evidence that we are transdimensional.

Quote:You have absolutely no authority to make this claim,

I made no such claim. I'm explicitly asking for evidence of the claim that we are transdimensional and etc.

Quote:and no right to treat anyone who doesn't agree with your worldview as beneath contempt!

Hmm, what country are you from? I did clarify in the OP that I'm American, so I absolutely *do* have the right to be contemptuous of religion. Hopefully that clears it up for you. If not, search "American constitution" on Google.

Quote:I also find it interesting that you say "reincarnated on another planet." You do realize that most Christians don't believe this, right?

Paul says he expects believers to get a new body.

By definition, that's reincarnation. The prefix "re-" means "again" and the root word "incarnate" means "in a body." Your transdimensional, immortal, non-physical soul will be put into a new body. That's reincarnation.

And in Revelation John says that the old earth passed away and that there is a new heaven and a new earth. So that's a different planet.

So assuming that you accept Paul's epistles and the book of Revelation, it follows that you believe you'll be reincarnated on another planet.

I covered all of this in the OP and provided sources.

Now what part of that don't you understand?

Quote:Even a cursory glance at the commentaries on Bible Hub could've told you this.

Yes, I do humiliate Christians for sport. They humiliate themselves for reasons I don't understand.

As pointed out above, I have the right to sneer at Christians. There are no blasphemy laws in America, and to my knowledge there is no blasphemy rule here.

Please indicate that you understand you've been corrected.
Jesus is like Pinocchio.  He's the bastard son of a carpenter. And a liar. And he wishes he was real.
