 I actually love Sydney.

Was posted to Ingleburn for a while ,and later to Holsworthy, before going to Malaysia.

Spent an especially great week end with a couple of mates in  small cabin cruiser, going around the harbour.Had no idea about all little coves. I remember sailing by the still-under-construction Opera House. My dad's brother was an engineer on that project. Explained to me how hard it was to build.

On the Saturday night we went into The Cross .Man, the joint was jumpin' !!!--It was the height of the Vietnam war, and the place was was arse deep in very loud, very drunk Americans on R&R. I often wondered how many of them got through the war alive.

Sadly, I haven't  been back to Sydney since. I guess it may have changed a bit.  Cool

Ancient male (72) atheist...never ceases to amaze me how many claim to be "believers" and think they are all gonna live forever! (Whatever religion they may be part of.)  Never paid much attention to "forums," but now that I am a semi-bedridden cancer patient, it seems to be a good way to stay in  touch with the world.  And perhaps I'll learn a few things, never too old to learn new things!  Y'all have a good day!!   Read
