At work.
So..... that would seem to indicate a 'No', then?
Mars is already blasted by radiation reaching its surface due to (A) Little to non Van Allen belts and (B) Little to non atmosphere /ozone.
Any piddling little amount of fissionables we 'Might' drop pales besides the gravity driven fusion reactor around which we orbit.
Fusion reactors? Other than, maybe, the ding in the side (Guessing Tokomak style) as energy escapes the fading containment field will be a tiny version of what happened at the super collider when its guide magnets let go.
On a side note, there's a 'Kurzgesagt' Youtube video on just such an eneavour and lots of info on the trial and tribulations of such an endeavour.
