So it seems some piece of shit has walked into a Mosque in Christchurch and opened fire on worshippers.

Wishing well for the victims...yes, I know, but at least the living ones will get expert medical care without that cost ruining their lives. It will be interesting to watch what sort of legislation regarding guns will come of this.

Islamophobia was not known to be spread in NZ as much as I know; but Muslims are a very fine scapegoat and a very fine fuel for somebody who wants to distract us from something or spread violent counter attacks from Muslims to westerners and vise versa. I can only hope NZ passes similar laws to those Oz passed after the Pt Arthur massacre in 1996.. Coincidentally, that was the last mass shooting in Oz. The shooter, Martin Bryant, is an intellectually challenged man, who will never be released from prison. We longer have loony bins for the criminally insane. Seems New Zealand shares Australia's anti Muslim nut job fringe. I have never understood it. Not only am I surrounded by good Muslim neighbours, I also lived in a Muslim country, where I was always treated with respect and great kindness.. 1500 Friday Adelaide.
