I think that many philosophers and theologians have and still are making sincere efforts to answer hard questions, and you think they are just avoiding questions.
I think we can leave it there.
You realize that the premises for these arguments need to be demonstrated sound before you can accept their conclusions as true, yes? Every single serious logical argument for the existence of god contains at least one disputed, contested premise.
Or fallacy. Perhaps a corollary to the 'lack of evidence' for God argument against accepting the existence of any deity as real we should add 'lack of arguments that stand up to scrutiny'.

I prefer the route of simply accepting the proclamations that others make. If empiricism, for example, is not the proper context for god knowledge..then this reduces god knowledge to intuition, some a priori whatsit. While that may sound like a good idea to someone who doesn't want to present empirical demonstration of a god.....it has the amusing tick of certifying any intuition or a priori knowledge that there is -no- god.
So, how do we resolve that disparity? Well, a person who rejects empiricism can't exactly appeal to empiricism to determine that they're better intuiters..now can they? Meanwhile, an empiricist needs only hold out their arms and say "...well..your intuition is telling you something that just doesn't appear anywhere, huh?"

@ Belaqua
Actually, when you get around to finally answering my question to you in bold, I have a follow-up question for you: why haven’t you been persuaded into belief by the results gathered using this mystery alternative method that you are staunchly defending, but so far have failed adequately describe?

Haven't you heard?
There's no god, and we don't believe in one either.
And our disbelief means nothing.
You see, we don't get it ourselves.

Could you make it any more obvious that you’re trolling? You’re not even fun.

Is it caused by something?

Logic and sound reason would suggest a creator though.
Just not in any way you can demonstrate, I suspect. But give it your best.

Why do you believe that there is "one" god? Why not 10? Or, a million? Infinitude?

Only little Rik could do that.
