G. Gordon Liddy.

Quote:What is the name of the structure style of the monument in the center of St Peter's Square and who originally brought it to Rome?" Hint, the Washington monument is based on this same ancient style. The Vatican only moved this monument locally, but originally they did not build it, nor did the structure originate in Rome.. There is a specific name for the shape of such a structure.

Obelisk/Caligula (although I don't think you ought construct questions that have two answers).

Boru

Dont you have a sitcom to razz me about not remembering?

You are correct, but the rules of the OP are  to answer with

"The answer is. Obelisk/Caligula""  so you dont officially win the pocket lint because you didn't start with "The answer is". You don't watch the game show Jeopardy that much do you?

And again, once you correctly answer the question, you follow it up with your own new question.

And I am a stickler for rules. And by that I mean, I am on my 5th beer.

And damn it Gawdzilla, you still have me stumped on the Cabinet question. All I can find is several 3 presidents, but cant find a 4.

I was throwing you a bone by participating in your silly little game.  I am SO sorry, Mein Fuehrer, that I neglected to word my answers properly.  The fact that it's a stoopid fucking rule doesn't excuse my crass behaviour.

Any road, here's my question:

What word did Brian37 misspell in the OP?

The answer is, someone is taking this far more seriously than they should.

Thus my response to you was, "I am on my 5th beer."

In all seriousness, the sitcom thread, I was impressed with the detail of your questions about WKRP. The only problem was for me in trying to respond was that I had not watched that show in decades.

And yes, I am a bad speller. I also don't have tons of money to pay a staff to check my work.

So can we get back to having fun in this thread?

The answer is...probably not.  I win again.

Since I got another one right, I get to go again:

What musical term indicates a chord where the notes are played in succession rather than all together?

Now you are getting it. Since I suck at music, I am going to have to phone a friend, do a street shout out, or google it. But, I will wait for others reading this who know music better than I do, to see if they can get it.

Computer glitch.  Double posts can happen without the intent of the poster.

But I did "phone a friend" and to answer your question

"What musical term indicates a chord where the notes are played in succession rather than all together?"

The answer is, arpeggio.

Rock Music history.

What was the SECOND video ever played on MTV? The first was "Video Killed The Radio Star", but I am asking for the video that followed it.

Dude, google may give me cabinet members, but it does not narrow it down.

This is for me, at least, a needle in a haystack. A fucking galactic cosmos haystack.

Is that starting with Truman, or ending with Truman? And there are tons of titles of cabinet members that start with the words "Secretary of".

Interesting tidbit related to the office of the President. There have been several Presidents who served either partial or full terms without a Vice President.

RE: The unofficial random Triva thread.......
Truman was one of the consecutive Presidents this person served under. So that narrows down your window considerably.
