RE: RIP thread
Alain Delon aka "French James Dean"
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

^I didn't realize he was still around.

Thanks to him we ended up with Jerry Springer and the like as the genre slid down that hill.

Phil Donahue was 88. It was through his program that I first saw Madalyn Murray-O’Hair and was able to join American Atheists in the early 1980’s. I came out as an atheist in 1982.

I just found out 8/20 today. That sucks. He was the only talk show host of the 80s/90s that refused to go down the Jerry Springer path. His first guest of every new season was Madlyn O'Hair, and he also had transgender James Bond girl Caroline Cosey (Tula) on a few times as well. I loved how he treated all his guests with dignity and he loved diversity, and he was informative not combative. He was a class act.

Caroline Cossey was never a Bond girl. She was an uncredited extra.

A very common mistake. She is often confused with Cassandra Harris - another 6' tall actress in For Your Eyes Only who did play a Bond girl.

I did not mistake her for anyone. I know exactly who Caroline Cosey is. It was a walk on non speaking extra roll. I guess I consider any bikini clad female, speaking or not to be a "Bond Girl" if they were on camera and their faces were seen. Maybe don't be so pedantic?
