In memory of Rip Torn, I've decided to include Freddy Got Fingered among the DVDs I'm bringing up to Wisconsin for my two-week vacation.
And no, it's not going to be part of the Deep Hurting Project; unlike Bratz, it actually has a legitimate following of people who see it as an exercise in Dada or an extra-dark deconstruction of the sort of Happy Madison comedy films that dominated Hollywood around that era. And I'm actually one of them. Therefore, not on the So Bad It's Horrible film list and, as a result not a Deep Hurting Project film.

No way!

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

That's a pity, always enjoyed him. Sources say he was 75. Thought he was much older.

That's a pity. I could never get into Beloved, but I really enjoyed The Black Book.

Song of Solomon was fascinating. It got me an "A" in "Intro to Fiction".

RIP Peter Fonda.
He was rather a strange actor. I mean I only watched him in one movie and he didn't seem to be in many prominent movies and yet he was pretty famous.
