Choosing who you are

RE: Choosing who you are
Caste system is not what you think it is.

Natives are a different nation, not a different class.

You are the one who doesn't understand.

You know why the US government signed treaties with the tribes?

Because they didn't have nuclear weapons.

.......

If they had - they would have used them - exactly for the same reason they did use them on the Japanese.

So they didn't have to commit genocide at a high cost on both sides.

...

And - if you look at the history - the government at the time had no expectation of honoring those treaties. They fully expected to simply absorb the tribes into the mainstream society. Just look at how the tribal kids were schooled by government run schools. Not allowed to speak tribal language. Not allowed to learn the verbal histories.

A dirty trick?

Sure.

Those treaties are yet another bad chapter in American history.

But I think it's fucked up to be made an accessory after the fact to the government's deceit.

My ancestors had nothing to do with this shit.

It's time to move on.

There are 2 kinds of people on this planet, cool people, and assholes.

I don't care if you're an orange with yellow and green polka dotted transgender hermaphrodite. If you're an asshole, you're an asshole.

Atta boy, OB! There's that sick, twisted, obsessive spirit of murderous imperialism that the world knows and loves!
Your ancestors may not have had anything to do with it, but man...You said that shit like a colonist of old!
And without a Bible too. Very impressive.

Just look at you...Wholly consumed by avarice and the desire to lay waste to anything and anyone who gets in the way of whatever you've set your sights upon.
LOL...The idea of "lesser" persons having a single goddamned thing that you don't have just makes your fucking blood boil, doesn't it? Fucks your carefully crafted illusion of superiority all up.
So sure you are that every nook and cranny of every corner of creation should be yours.

Deep down you sense that shit is a sickness, don't you? That there's a part of you that's somehow missing, broken or just wrong.
Sure, you do.

But you push it aside because you don't want to get down to examining exactly why it is that you feel the way you do, do you?

Or hell..maybe you're just yanking everyone's chains here for kicks and giggles.
Yeah. That's probably it. Tongue

Since when does having special rights make you" lesser"?

Talk about convoluted logic.

Special rights? They're sovereign nations, OB.
You're campaigning for the government to finish the work they started and forcibly take what remains in what would essentially be an act of war as far as the tribal nations would be concerned.

And why?
Because they were smart enough to make a go of casinos on the pittance of land they were left with and they've got some game you want to hunt.

That's sick, OB.
Evil.

Ignoring the totally fucked up and miseducated response below this part of your post in the interest of staying on topic, we are talking about whether or not you understand what a caste system is. That is the question right now, not whether nuking natives would give you a hard on. Now, the natives having separate rights isn't a caste system. They are an independent nation. Do you understand the difference?

While you can't choose who you are, you can choose how to drive a conversation. The only thing of importance to discuss in this topic is gambling addiction and its malfeance on the afflicted. The remainder its cloacked racism.

More and more people these days think so.

Some people think that the surgery isn' t even necessary - but simply living as a woman makes a person female - despite having male genitalia.

....

IF something as quantifiable as genitalia isn't an indication of the identification of sex - how can something as ambiguous as skin coloration be an identifier of race?

Shouldn't a person have the right to self identify what race they belong to?

And those of you - who this question angers (there will be several) - explain rationally why there is a difference.

Sex is not changeable, it is gender that is changeable, or as my sociology teacher likes to put it "Sex is what parts you're born with, gender's what's in your head". It's pretty simple logic from there. That's why i do believe trans people are encouraged to put the sex they're born as on medical forms, rather than the gender they choose to be.

Hope that clears some things up for you.
