Invitation for Atheists to Debate a Christian via Skype

RE: Invitation for Atheists to Debate a Christian via Skype
Where do you get your information on what atheists tend to like or do from?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I keep wondering why LDT will not engage in in-depth debate/discussion in the forum, why he/she wants an isolated venue and wants the ability to record the debate for future use with only his/her control.

What are you not telling us LDT?
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Anyone can record a debate when they use Skype. Just record your screen. I don't care about recording as much as I care about real debate. I'm looking for meaningful dialogue, one-on-one, with an Atheist. It is much more coherent to have a real dialogue than to have a bunch of people chiming in all at once. What I can't understand is: Why are you so nervous about it?

I am a Reformed Presbyterian. A summary of what I believe can be found in the Westminster Confession of Faith.

I want to debate Christianity vs. Atheism, Does God exist?, etc.

Ask the admins here to set up a one on one debate. It will be just you and one other person.

Why am I nervous? I don't trust people on the internet, and really don't trust christians coming to an atheist forum and immediately wanting to debate.

Someone has already accepted your challenge.  Did you miss it?

For example, from this thread alone in response to me:

"There's nothing to debate. Either you acknowledge facts or you do not."

and

"Naturally not.  We all know how these 'debates' go.  You'll do your bit about the value of Christianity and the validity of the Bible.  The atheist will respond with criticisms based in reason, history and logic.  This will go back and forth for a bit until you invoke the need to accept things based on faith, at which point it is not longer a debate.
For the record, it isn't immediately clear that one can have a 'rational' debate about religion."

My understanding of atheist's tendencies is not completely unfounded. I will grant that it may be an over generalization since many Atheists will disagree on a variety of topics. But you'll notice that the atheist has "reason, history, and logic" on his side, but I just have a "bit" to do about the value of Christianity. Of course, these people are not willing to actually debate.

I may have. They haven't sent me a PM.

No. I'm not in high school. Thought Atheists liked to reason and dialogue. Guess not?

Your beliefs are of neither interest nor value to me.   I don’t care whether you will be, or are capable of being, persuaded by what I find persuasive.    What I am persuaded by doesn’t have to be anthropomorphized because it stands without idiot affirmation of the infantile.
You have time to hang out on forums, but not enough time to actually engage in meaningful dialogue? Your response is just asserting your superiority, which is an arbitrary opinion that has not been rooted in reason, but it mere opinion. You also engaged in an ad hominem abusive fallacy.

I wouldn't have become an atheist if I didn't think being a theist is such an inferior, degrading, discreditable and unworthy alternative.   I didn't ask for your time.  You asked for mine.  I have time to hang out on forums because the time I have is mine.    You have not shown humoring your desire to be taken as my equal is worth my time.

I find the discussions on forums far more meaningful than structured debates. There are hundreds of Christian/ Atheist debates on youtube. Some are the by the best debaters  of our time. I doubt much can be argued that has not already been beaten to death.

You're kidding, right?

I have a wonderful investment for you and will guarantee a 50% return. All you have to do is send me a picture of your SSN card and bank account number for deposits.

Why not indeed!

I'm asking why he doesn't trust a Christian asking for debate. Asking for a SSN and a debate are hardly comparable.
