Now that New York is entirely Dem controlled, I think we'll see some interesting stuff come out of there, a lot of good, but probably some for the worst if I'm being honest. Where are you from originally?

Oh, I was born and raised in NY. I live in Albany currently. And, depressingly, lol.

This is the greatest!

A student sued because he didn't want the chickenpox vaccine. Then he got chickenpox

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I don't know anyone in Albany, but I'm sure their anti-vaxxers are no less stupid than anti-vaxxers anywhere else.

Anti-vaxxers are not necessarily Christians or religious in any way, they are without doubt selfish people who care about only themselves, with that said when I grew up there were no vaccines for many childhood illnesses. Our parents would send us to the home of friends who were sick so that we could contract the illness and the illness could run it's coarse and things would be back to normal. I never knew anyone who died from the childhood illnesses, I guess we were stronger kids back then. Today we have those vaccines and they should be required for all kids who are able to have them. Good science should be used for the betterment of mankind and if people were more responsible things like this would not need to be forced upon them.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

We weren’t “stronger back when”. Childhood mortality rates are trending down, in general.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You don't have to be religious to be an anti- vaxxer --

But the predisposition of gullibility sure helps.

I have a sister who has 4 kids and she has recently become an anti-vaxxer simply because she has done "research" on the internet. What an idiot!

Yep. Anti-vaxers are where crazy right meets crazy left.

My Modest Proposal for how to deal with antivaxers would be to round them all up--we could "concentrate" them in camps--and then infect them with every disease and pestilence that has current and effective vaccines until they either succumb to their infections or develop immunity "naturally" as they are wont to do.
