First of all, he would laugh about the accusation of insults thinking that Belaqua wouldn't know an insult if it bit him in the ass. But the guy had friends and family and making stupid remarks a la Belaqua is disrespectful of those people. But PhilosophyMan will continue to justify his remarks and keep harping on being part of the 'out group'. How often have we heard people around here say that we shouldn't hurt people's feelings? Being hurtful is not only allowed, it's applauded, if the recipient is on the not-approved list. Belaqua, you had a point to make. Prove it some other way on another day.
You fucked up by insulting a recently deceased person with mourners present. You should apologise for that, even if you didn't foresee the outcome, although how could you not? Also, I think Hitchens was a cunt for not keeping his mouth shut for a week or two after Falwal's death. He did that. But lots of people posted insults on the TTA. Lots of people post insults here. It's not considered bad to post insults. I don't think it's insulting of me to say that he did something which he did, which lots of people do, which isn't considered bad.
But people got insulted.
I didn't know the guy, but you used an example of him to highlight some negative activity, so it comes out negative. That's not rocket science. |
