A postscript to "what happened to me"

Didnt you just *forget* about the "recently deceased" part in your foul comparison? Huh
What *unfair* statements about the religious am i not bothered about?
Do you think its ok for you (or anyone else) to slader the recently deceased?

Joke or slander? Huh

Funny, when it becomes about you and your own failings, you suddenly seem to have much lower standards about using precisely the correct words and descriptions compared to discussing Aristotle or Aquinas´ideas. Im not saying anyone else on this board is better than you, but its you constantly pointing out how you stand out above every commoner here in terms of good behaviour.

I'll say this again you slandered a dead person and no unlike the person you slandered we have proof Farwell was a vile person . Nothing the person you slandered did even comes close.

I didn’t read the whole thread. I didn’t didn’t read the OP at all (sorry Rob, my heart hurts for you and in case you do read this, I hope things look up for you. I just didn’t read the OP because your threads make me feel sad these days).
I only came in because I felt like i really needed to say something;
Fuck you, Belaqua. Seriously, fuck you. Fuck you up the ass with a huge cactus dripping in hot pepper oil. You suck as a person.

Note to self, try not to get involved in other peoples fuck ups.

The post-quoting code does not always get it right when dealing with nested quotes..  So, for fuck sake, read previous posts.

Shields come up when insults are hurled, and won't change any mind.

Yeah, I think insults are like prayer: they never get the hoped-for result, but some people feel good saying them.

But these are generally given a pass. It's OK to say nasty things about a group we dislike. If we disagree with someone over a point of metaphysics, there's pretty much no limit on the nastiness with which we can reply.

A small detail, but the most important in this case you keep forgetting. Theists and everybody that get insults et al, are here to fend for themselves. The person you slandered can't do that. Yet, instead of realising your fault in this, you decided to double down with a foolish comparision.

When it comes to insults, as they say, sticks and stones can break my bones, words, never will.

What funny is you whine about EVERY forum you're on, and yet here you are. Posting, just like you did, until you were banned, on the successor to TTA.
What is also funny, is that you are so ignorant you can't see this is a forum for non-believers ... people who have, their entire lives, had no place or community.
Religious forums, (it's actually "fora") almost universally ban non-believers. And here you are whining about a non-believer forum not being kind to believers.
You really do lack even the most basic insight. Anything to whine and complain ... "oh poor me".

It wasn't slander because what I said is true.

Would you be offended by insults against Osama bin Ladin, even though he's not here to defend himself? I think you wouldn't.

So what I said is true: we feel comfortable insulting people we don't approve of, and apply a different standard to people we do approve of.

What surprises me is that people are so adamant that it is good to insult the living -- who may be hurt -- and not the dead -- who can't be.
