You might want to take that up with the religious as well. They’ll tell you that it wouldn’t be possible not to act on their genuinely held beliefs.
No more possible than it would be for you or I and whatever similar positions we held.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I get the vibe that you only think of Christianity when you talk about religion.
Ask yourself, do those actions you say are inevitable really affect you? Do they ALL affect you?

Comments on the nature of belief can be reliably expected to apply to any religious belief.
It doesn't matter if they all effect me, personally.
If we used Buddhism as an example, what comment that I’ve made doesn’t apply? Buddhism doesn’t have much of an effect on me. Aren’t a lot of Buddhists where I’m at.

Do they have any affect on others? There are plenty of Buddhist beliefs that aren't going to affect others. It's a very introverted religion.

It isn’t. That misapprehension of Buddhism is largely the product of marketing specifically to the western audience.
In reality, Buddhism has profound effects on eastern society. Up to and including things that go boom. It has for a very long time.

Are you conflating the Eastern invention of dynamite with Buddhist principles? Weird.
No. Buddhism is definitely introverted. I've made a light study of Buddhism, but I don't think it's a big stretch to say that a religion centered on self-reflection is extroverted.

The relationship between Buddhism and eastern society played out (and continues to play out) in the same way that Christianity played out in the western world.
Ultimately the last two posts have just been ways to reiterate that religion is politics. To say that it’s profoundly consequential.

Yeah this phones autocorrect is a nightmare, and editing is equally a pain in the ass. Miss my keyboard.
Been more than a few good ones.
