You need eyeballs to pay the bills, so any news business will have to provide a certain amount of entertainment as well to keep people watching. But like most people, they can walk and chew gum at the same time. They can provide news framed around the liberal opinions of their target audience. The most responsible journalists are often the most respected and followed.
So you are just being too cynical in my opinion.
