I when I got out of the USCG - I offered to reenlist for only one ship. The Sagres sister ship - USCGC Eagle. I knew a guy who had the radioman billet ( my rate) and he had told me about it. There is only 3 enlisted men on board - a handful of officers - and a crew of midshipmen. The enlisteds are defacto officers to the cadets. So you eat no shit. The RM has the largest stateroom - bigger than the captain - because it's also the radioroom. It's also a PR thing - so it makes some excellent ports.
