I am not going to waste my time repeating the same lists of what can be done just so you can play whack a mole with bullshit excuses.

The cheapest and most effective way to reduce firearm violence is for the CEOs and shop owners to give a fuck how many are made and where they end up.

Australia and New Zealand do the right thing.  America should learn from them instead of coddling the fears of selfish insecure babies who are being used by the firearm companies to keep their markets and profits.

If "arm more" were working America would not be #1 in firearm violence.

Australia and New Zealand didn't force gun industry CEO's and gun shop owners to " care".

They banned private ownership of guns and confiscated them.

Play one side of the street, you yammering harpy.

Not true.  Several of my neighbours have guns.

Holy crap. Among first world wealthy nations we are.

We have way more firearm violence than Canada, England, Australia and Japan, just to name a few.

Well, you can prove anything if you keep adding conditions.  For example, you have the highest rate of gun violence of all countries located between Canada and Mexico, but you have the lowest rate of gun violence among countries where people call themselves 'Americans'.

Australia DOES NOT ban firearm ownership.

But yea, they do take them away from dangerous individuals as they should.

Firearms should be taken away from the mentally ill. They should be taken away from the alcohol and drug addicted. Mainly to prevent suicide. They should be taken away from domestic abusers. They should be taken away from those who express threats of violence, such as those who are disturbed teens, or someone angry at their co workers, or a race or religion. But the easiest way is for the seller to give a fuck at the time of purchase. Rather than what we do now which is react after the fact which is more expensive in response and medical bills and PTSD.

Our allies think America is bat shit nuts with the ease of access we have here.

Under what conditions can you own guns?

My read on it is you have to "have reason" - and self defense is not considered to be a reason.

Siri Gibberish Translator....... " I am going to scream like a selfish brat because for decades I have bought the fear marketing of a profit lobby and I am too stupid to recognize that."

A two year old girl got shot in Odessa, doctors had to remove shrapnel from her chest, chin and tongue. But please, by all means, be a fucking dick and claim that your rights are being violated if others think public safety is more important than the profits of firearm CEOs.

For those not up on these things ---

When Brian says "Siri Gibberish translator" -- what he means is that someone asked him a legitimate question or made a statement that he is wholly.unprepared to address....

I hope this clears things up for you.

You can have them for hunting, sport shooting, and if you're a licensed security person.  You're correct - self defense, in and of itself, is not considered sufficient reason to have a firearms license.

Guns are necessary to protect US from liberal tyranny.

Then your definition of " ban" is quite different from mine.

In my country - when a law abiding citizen is told he isn't allowed to own guns - for no other reason than "because" -- and forces that citizen to surrender his firearms - we call that a ban.....

That's one option...
