It is 1pm here, power still on, but we are going to get the bottom of the hurricane soon. But most of the really dangerous bands are above us so basically I think the rest of this is simply going to be rain and high wind.

Power went out again for about a half hour around 2pm, it is 2:35pm It is back on, but sure it will go out again.

I swear I am going to fucking pull my hear out if I hear another reporter or anchor say, "hunker down"! I am not a fucking bear hibernating for the winter.

"Be prepared", "have a safe room", "stay in place"...... Those are fine. 

I swear there must be some stupid fucking law requiring them to say that every 2 seconds. Just like after a disaster they have to get someone to say, "Thank God I survived"....... 

And another reporter talked about a tornado that hit showing the damage in the neighborhood and said, "it picked and chose the houses it hit"..... NO IT DID NOT DUMASS, it doesn't pick a damned thing, it just does.

The good thing about this hurricane though is that it is moving fast and is weak . It isn't like Mathew or Florence which were direct hits and slow moving. This one is going north east and is moving much faster and the eye is over the water in any case.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that at this point 'hunker down' means, 'Don't be one of those knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers who decides that a Category 2 hurricane is a pretty good time to drive to the shops for a can of soup.'
