RE: Hobbies
Hobbies??? Oh dear...I have sooo much that I am never really bored and never enough time to devote to them.

1. Gardening. currently designing a Livable 'Backyard' (literally) for the new House
2. Needlecraft. Like Summerqueen...Cross Stitch, Embroidery, Quilting, Garment Construction, Home
Soft Furnishings.
3. This Forum. Seriously, this forum gives me so much to research and think about. It's wonderful
4. Cooking. Signature dishes are mostly the staple Italian, Yiddish, and French styles.
5. MOTORCYCLE RIDING!! Absolutely wonderful sport and pastime. Not as good as I would like to be
and am still working on my technique with the new 600cc Fazer
6. Reading. Mostly Sci Fi genere. Don't seem to be doing much these days
7. Construction of the New House. There is so much that needs your attention so I am learning how to
be a 'Project Manager' on the job Smile
8. Going for a walk. Not seriously, but my arthritis is sooo much better for a wander. Can't wait to 'walk
around' the new housing development.
9. Currently waiting to get BACK to making my own straw Hat...reckon I'll need it for the new house.
10. Looking after my family. Alot of it is just being there to listen to the ranting and raging against
the stupidity of humanity in general.
11. Oh and Chicken soup!!! The 'Mummy's-Get-me-better-Quick-Chicken-Soup' I like to think I cook a
good batch. Again another project for when I have a new kitchen and a LARGER fridge / Freezer Zen!
12. Favourite drugs are; Alcohol, Caffeine and Tobacco beyond that I am rather lame/ tame.
13. Sleeping!! Seriously! I just love temperatures below 15 degrees Centigrade are just soo rejuvenating
14. Sex...a hangover from my 'Witchcraft days' And also a very good exercise session!! Angel

So there ya go...a little bit of an insight into just who this "Grumpy Old Whore of Babylon" is

RE: Hobbies
Hobbies being "an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure"?

1: Sex with someone I really like that doesn't carry an STI. Whether my fully transitioned body will turn me into a slut or not is at this point unknown.

If 1 is inaccessible, 2: 1on1 long chats with people I really like where nobody else is around to hear it. I find this immersive and highly enjoyable.

1&2 not available, 3: Competition with people of around my skill level (that I like). I love pulling ahead and winning when it isn't easy, and although i love it somewhat less than winning, the expirience of being narrowly bested is very thrilling and fun for me (furthers my competitive spirit by making me want to challenge them again).

1-3 ixnayed, 4: Games of cooperation with people I like. It's really hard to say wether i enjoy cooperation or competition more.... must the two be separate? Sleepy My 'habit' in World of Warcraft is largely fueled by 3 and 4 (and five), and so I tend to play that game in copious amounts with my free time.

Don't feel like 1-4, 5: Things to preoccupy myself with so as not to be completely bored . Video games, books, music, movies, this forum, porn... basically all stuff I do specifically to stave off crushing boredom.

Aren't my hobbies just positively droll? I mean i require another person for the first 4 of fives of them... :S

RE: Hobbies
Kichi, can you be my mum? We have so much more in common than my mother and I do. Well...except the bike thing.

I remain yours, always and forever,

RE: Hobbies
LOL. I was thinking the same thing. If Kichi agrees to be my mom I will not only design that backyard of hers complete with a flowering, glistening pond (waterfall optional), I will also build it for her!

Not only that but I will install a chiller in her bedroom to keep the temps below that 15 degree C. she so loves.

Adoption paperwork will be sent upon request.

I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

RE: Hobbies
1. Writing. That is undoubtedly the most consuming hobby, one that borders on addiction. I am constantly writing: email discussions, here on these forums, my web site; philosophy and theology, short stories, poetry. I will exhibit physical withdrawal symptoms if I am kept from writing for too long. It's my primary channel for introspection and expression.

2. Music. It might strike some people as odd, music as a hobby, but for me it is. I love spending time listening to music, exploring music, discovering new artists and genres, expanding my musical horizons. I am particularly obsessed with finding new composers and artists of string music, usually orchestral (e.g., London Symphony Orchestra) but often single instruments; I am such a sucker for the piano (e.g., Ludovico Einaudi, Brian Crain, Elijah Bossenboek, Yiruma and so forth) and such a huge fan of Hans Zimmer (e.g., King Arthur soundtrack).

3. Reading. It was a tough call trying to figure out whether Reading should come before or after Music; they are essentially tied. But reading is definitely a major hobby of mine. I am constantly reading; I have a voracious appetite for books—primarily for learning but also for leisure fun. By far the largest portion of my reading goes toward philosophy and theology, but I also love historical and political reading, mostly from the 17th century and up (e.g., church history and American history mostly). And of course I read a lot of novels; historical fiction, legal and crime fiction, and science fiction.

4. Movies. I love movies, from major blockbusters to indie films and everything in between. I watch two to three per month, and have seen roughly 2,000 movies.

5. Drawing. Another favourite pastime of mine. Usually pen and ink and usually tattoo design and comic book fanpics. I've always been drawing since I could hold a pencil but it became a real passion the day Todd McFarlane came to my junior high school and drew in my sketch book (back when his career was just beginning to take off), a picture that is now worth a small fortune. I bet you didn't know McFarlane was Canadian.

6. Hiking. I have a love affair with nature, which I think is coded in the DNA of my people (Cree), so of course I love being out in it. From walking to hiking to mountain climbing, I enjoy it all. There is nothing quite like standing on a 6,400-foot peak with all the world laid out before you. I remember Matt and I once took some camping gear and hiked to the top of this small mountain with a trout lake at the summit and spent four days camping up there, just the two of us, escaping the world (and our aggrevating girlfriends, to be honest).

7. Singing. I love singing. A lot. I don't sing in a choir or anything, but I do love singing.
Man is a rational animal who always loses his temper when
called upon to act in accordance with the dictates of reason.
