Original was by Kate Bush.  As much as I love the music of Pat Benatar, Wurhering Heights is one of the few songs from her that I have never listened to.

And, as has been emphasised, the only real way to know the plot of the book is to read it yourself.  Others can tell you the basic plot, but all humans interpret things differently.

All I can speak to to that particular song, is that it sounded "egg heady" to me at the time. And at my teen years, I was intimidated by the complexity of the lyrics. Back then, regardless of mantra or motif, when anyone put forth work, music, or anything, including academics, i was always intimidated. I  loved "Wuthering Heights", not because I understood it, I still don't to some degree to this day. I loved the mystery of it. It still had/has a Romeo/Juliet quality about it.

But no, sporry. I have found that I get the point of a plot better when someone doesn't throw me in the deep end. I have always hated that.

RatonalPoet... Having watched my best friend Hillbilly Atheist put a giant forklift pad of butter on his ribeye, I don't want to hear shit about my dreaching my ribeye in ranch dressing.

Butter on steak is actually a fairly common practice.  Ranch dressing on steak is a warning sign of a disordered mind in need of professional help.

Hillbilly Atheist was the first to make it known to me that butter on steak was a thing. Dont piss on me for not getting that. I had simply never run into that before.

And no, it is not "practice" it is a like.

And just like ABBA, I could give a fuck less if anyone hates ranch sauce on well done steak like I do.

I’m sure there’s a lot of things you’ve never run into before.

It is also abundantly clear that you could give a fuck less if you falsely accuse someone of promoting lunatic conspiracy theories.

If I am understanding the plot it is basically two people who love each other but get seperated by family dynamics who want to be together but end up marrying other people. What I am not getting is the ending.

I have done all the spoon-feeding I intend to do.

If you want a deeper understanding of the book and its plot I would suggest reading it and perhaps searching online for other people's interpretations until you find one that you can agree with.

People do learn differently and if you would read what I said instead of jumping on your meth addled high horse you would know that.

Bless your mother for realizing that she had to make sure you were provided for since you can't provide for yourself.

It is not a matter of anyone providing for me. My late mother, as much as she loved me still had an authoritarian manor about her. Sorry, but that simply does not work with every kid. And even outside her, with other teachers and bosses it does not always work.

"People do learn differently"..... <----- Leave it right there and I am with you.

Aren't you living off the money she left you?  Seems you should be grateful that she didn't employ 'sink or swim' when it came to leaving you on your own.  Sounds like she did make concessions for you.

I have been reading up on multiple summaries lately. It it simply comes across as forbidden love in the end ending up in regret.

Ok, basically getting the plot of it now.

Basically it is a different version of Romeo and Juliet. Two star crossed lovers who are faced with family dynamics that force them apart.
