What do you think about the immigration crisis?

One should be careful to differentiate between an immigration crisis and a refugee crisis.

There is no crisis, there is just a assole bigoted GOP who needs racism to gin up their base. The only crisis is how 45s administration is treating people trying to flee famine and violence once they get here.

He’s not talking about US immigration.  The topic has nothing to do with Trump.

I don't think there is a significant difference. Either way, people are forced (due to socio-political or politico-economical reasons) to leave their country and almost everything they've got, yet other countries aren't letting them in.

A quick summary for those unfamiliar.  Croatia is on the balkan route.  However, the more refugees they allow, the less likely they will be able to satisfy the eu's external border commitments and join the schengen area.  The desire to be a part of the schengen area lead their government, which was initially committed to the humanitarian cause, to engage in a sweeping campaign of violent and illegal border control policies.  The EU is largely silent on this, but has reprimanded the country for lapses in external border control.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well, that seems rather accurate. And my main point in the video is how absurd it is of the European Union to request from Croatia to restrict free movement... in order to enter a free-movement zone.

Ironic, but not absurd, imo. The free movement zone is an incentive for member states. Those are the criteria and process that Merkel was referring to. Rock and a hard place, really...but unless you think that croatia couldn't possibly maintain the integrity of the EU's external border without engaging in human rights violations...then no, it's not absurd.

Not letting people from countries such as Syria stay in one of the safest countries in the world today that is Croatia is somehow not itself a human rights violation?

Well, again, unless you think that a country can't turn people away without engaging in human rights violations......

Like other, I seem to have missed the video you linked. My apologies. I'd have to ask what their reasoning is for turning people away.
