When the punishment fits the crime, that is justice. When the punishment exceeds the crime, that is cruelty. Eventually, no matter what you've done, you can be tortured enough to pay for it. A moment longer than that is unjust. Is Allah unjust?

That's giving torture-as-justice a free pass. Maybe torture is just torture. Someone else's injustice piled on top of another's.

If we wouldn't let it happen in a prison, and we rail against it's use by man...then we're compelled to object to it happening in gods funhouse, at gods direction or by his direct action. I'm fairly certain that Atlas has a position on torture.
