Many, yes, but obviously not all. Mine is an absolute darling.

Mine too, apart from a weird dislike of cats. Both of my mother in laws have been great.

I don't know. I know a guy who had one and he's pretty cool about it. He heard music.

There's always the exception.

I would also accept descriptions of the beer volcano or the tour of the stripper factory.

Funny thing is, I totally believe him too. They overdosed him on morphine at the hospital and killed him. The mix of drugs and death probably did it.

I had a NDE once. I had a vision of standing in front of several kids in my 5th grade class. None of them were dead at the time. It was totally weird, but there it is.  Dunno

You know, I bet a ton of people have NDEs like that and just don't talk about it. I see, hear and say weird shit when I'm overtired and falling asleep or waking up. I think the brain is just weird when it's shifting gears or shutting down.

Something similar with me. While falling asleep, I’ll occasionally hear what sounds like a loud thump or knock.

But I’ve only been near death once and experienced nothing.

I've never been near death to my knowledge. I hope it only happens the one time.

For me, it was a breeze. One minute I was on the street, the next thing I knew it was several days later and I was in a nice, comfy hospital bed. All the stuff in between is a blank.

Prominent OBE accounts of hell (and other this and that's) come from people who have never been near death. Near death is losing it's market share to people who don't have to die to get there.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: NDEs of Hell
I am sure some humans have reported an "oh shit" experience that scared the crap out of them. I think most of each individual false perception is based on a lifetime of input in family and or media and fear and superstitions. So if one is raised believing in hell to the point of fear and guilt, I would not surprise me someone would report nearly going to hell.

And NDEs are reported worldwide, so the cultural input is going to influence any report of an NDE.
