It's big enough news for every main stream media outlet to talk about it, and it's big enough for Sanjay Gupta to be interviewing the guy about it. If the former head of the CDC agreed with your views, you'd be bowing to his authority and using him to prove your views right. Since he, a well respected virologist, stepped outside of the official acceptable story, you now probably want him censored and erased from the internet or something because his speech is scary to you.

It's also a conspiracy that Australia formally requested an independent (non WHO) investigation into the origins of the coronavirus and has subsequently been on China's trade war hit list.

There are consequences for spreading unfounded claims. Positions don't grant you immunity for your actions, And his not allowing someone to spread misinformation has nothing to do with fear. Quite the opposite. But that's the kind of disingenuous rhetoric I would expect from you.

Well, all the "other" coronaviruses natural origins have not been questioned. Why this one now? Common sense and logic must prevail until further evidence comes to hand.
We're all entitled to our own opinions, but not our own facts.

Everybody is after their 15 minutes of fame. Yes, it could have come from the lab in Wuhan. Is there good evidence that it did? No, but on the other hand the Chinese government hasn't been very transparent. A more thorough investigation is warranted. But at the same time, it's false that no other potential vector has been identified. The market in Wuhan is fed by animal traffickers from the area where coronavirus samples in bats have been found, and provides a compelling counter-narrative to the lab theory.
