[Serious] Atheist Dogma
#91
RE: Atheist Dogma
OFC I do, because it demonstrably does. Help me help you, what's confusing about this?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

There's nothing wrong with the definitions of any of the terms. You simply misused them. In your defense, you misused them in a culturally specific way, explicitly.

Maybe you should help yourself before you offer help to others?

Read up on history and science. Instead of religious heroes find secualr scientific ones: Abe Lincoln, Mark Twain, Albert Einstein and Neil de grasse Tyson amongst others.

You have to engage.. in deprogramming..

Sure, deprogramming. So, to that end.

Theism is not at all what you listed it out as. Theism is the belief in a personal and intervening god. This is what seperates theism from deism, which is a belief in a god.

A person does not have to be a theist or a deist to believe in a supernatural aspect to human existence..and fwiw...most atheists believe this as well.

Similarly, humanism can't possibly be the opposite of theism, because a person can be a christian (which is theism)..and a humanist.

What's the definition of religion, that you believe to be valid?

If it is not "the exercises for the maintenance of dignity," then it is wrong.

It hardly matters what the definition of religion is, since nothing in your OP turned on it - but here you go.

Religion - a unified system of beliefs and practices relative to sacred things; things set apart and forbidden, which unite all who adhere to them into a moral whole.

An atheist can be religious, and a secularist can be religious, a deist doesn't have to be religious...but can be, and only a theist must be religious.

-I do alot of shit for the maintenance of my dignity - like wiping my ass.

Only under the flawed definition that humanists of a previous era devised to lessen offending Christians and possibly provide a pathway of (de)converting them from their religions.

WTF are you talking about...?

Humanism - A philosophical stance that emphasizes the value and agency of humans.

Believing that humans define reality is the natural order of a community that voids theism.

That definition is erroneous - it is a euphemism for religion, because they did not want to call it a religion, but wanted to generate a doctrine to guide atheists.
