I was referring to various times and places where people have had to bring wheelbarrows full of cash to the grocers.  Here's a man buying an egg during the Weimar Republic. ONE egg.

I wonder how many GI's in the occupation forces gathered up boxes of that old currency for their kids and grandkids, knowing that someday it might be worth something to collectors. A friend of mine, whose father did this when he was a member of the occupational forces in Japan, recently made a small fortune from the sale of several hundred prewar bank notes.

Given that the hyperinflation crisis happened 22 years before the Allied forces occupied Germany, I doubt it.
