McMichael was a former cop who had worked in the brunswick prosecutors office, so she had to recuse herself..then the next prosecutor had to recuse himself because his son worked for the brunswick da.  Before leaving the case, he argued the following...the prosecutor....argued the following...

Another cop frightened for his life, imagine that.

Sounds like you were there...

Are you the person who took the video?

If not - how do you know you are reporting facts?

Shit camera technique BTW....

Two armed men confronted an unarmed man for no good reason. The unarmed man fought back and was killed. It took ten weeks for the two men to be arrested and charged.

And you’re bitching about the cinematography?

Sounds like a lot of editoralizing there boss.....

How do you KNOW he was unarmed? How do you KNOW they shot him for no good reason?

We don't know. You are making assumptions then proceeding from that point.

And yes - the crappy nature of the video may be important. We don't know who shot it. It was released by a LAWYER (and bet he has the deceased's family on his speed dial). What bet that he -  or a member of his firm will be representing that family in the civil case?

Might these two be guilty?

Sure. Absolutely. Probably.are.

But it really chaps my ass to see the media (and social media including forums) making a truely fair investigation impossible.

Don't be absurd, ofc I wasn't there. But the prosecutor who recused himself seems to have been aware of the facts of the case as the defendants would like them to be seen, wouldn't you agree? I'll quote them again, for reference.

Quote:It appears Travis McMichael, Greg McMichael, and Bryan William were following, in hot pursuit, a burglary suspect with solid first hand probable cause, in their neighborhood, and asking/ telling him to stop. It appears their intent was to stop and hold this criminal suspect until law enforcement arrived. Under Georgia Law this is perfectly legal.

Wonder what the good Black folks of GA are going to do this time around? March around with scathing placards? Beg for a just sentence?
Forgive?

Rinse and repeat.

Every law-abiding Black citizen in GA needs to be exercising their 2nd Amendment rights. You're dead if some fat-assed, toothless, piece-of-shit c*****r imagines you "fit the description" of somebody somewhere, anyway---Might as well give yourselves a fighting chance.

I know he was unarmed because of the police report based on a statement by McMichael, who said he searched Arbery and did not find a weapon.  A good way to describe someone without a weapon is 'unarmed' - it's fewer letters to type than 'unweaponated'.

I didn't say they shot him for no good reason.  I said they confronted him for no good reason.  Jogging while black is not a good reason to confront someone. Thinking that a black man maybe kinda sorta looks a little bit like the description of a burglary suspect is not a good reason to confront someone.

I wouldn't be surprised if those white guys were racist, but the evidence they are is that they're both white and the victim is black.
Anyone got anymore evidence?
Is it lawful to detain someone with a gun until the police arrive, in that state, if they are under suspicion of a crime?
If not, then that is their crime.
Did the black guy then turn around and try to wrestle the gun from one of the white guys?
Seems unlikely to me, but if he did, then who would blame the other for shooting him?

Them not getting taken in for 2 weeks is entirely separate issue.
It's got nothing to do with whether they are guilty or racist.

I hate to break it to you guys, but you do sound a bit like a mob when you get together sometimes.
And I find myself agreeing with Onlinebiker more and more.

Yes, he fought for his life against the men holding him at gunpoint...who had run him down in a truck.
