Trevon Revisited again, unfortunately...

Kinda sorta looking like someone isn't a crime

Quote:If not, then that is their crime.
Did the black guy then turn around and try to wrestle the gun from one of the white guys?
Seems unlikely to me, but if he did, then who would blame the other for shooting him?
If someone points a gun at you for no valid reason are you really going to just stand there and trust their good intentions?

Yes it does

Considering your posting history that doesn't surprise any of us .

Anyone got anymore evidence?

Here's a pertinent article regarding citizen's arrest in Georgia.

https://www.13wmaz.com/article/news/crim...de7a1bc075

A few excerpts:

Quote:"It doesn't go to the point of a person putting handcuffs on them. It goes to the point of that person blocking their movement," Dublin Police Chief Tim Chatman said in a previous interview with 13WMAZ.

Under Georgia law you can do this only if you've actually witnessed a crime...According to published reports on that Brunswick case, investigators found no evidence that Ahmaud Arbery committed a crime or that the shooting suspects witnessed any crime.

Quote:Under Georgia code, Moore says a citizen can use force if they fear for their life, but they cannot create a confrontation themselves and then claim self defense after harming someone. Especially if they did not witness a crime take place.

"It does not allow us to create armed posses and roam the community looking for someone we think might have done something wrong," Moore said.

I wish them luck with that 'citizen's arrest' bullshit.

Apparently the laws in Georgia do allow citizens to detain suspect criminals at gunpoint....

Seems like a bad idea to me too - but what it is is what it is...

Is there a reason you expect any guy on the streets of Georgia to have the cinematography skills of Roger Deakins with almost no prep time? Or are you just that hell-bent on being our designated Bad Faith Actor that you’re just shitting out anything you can to hit that note?

Seems like a bad idea to me too - but what it is is what it is...a purse

Only if they’ve witnessed a crime. Read the article I linked, it makes a very good analogy with purse snatching. If you actually SEE someone snatch a purse, you can sit on them til the cops arrive. If you read a news article about an albino snatching purses, the law doesn’t allow you to tackle the first albino you see.

The laws in georgia also don't contain a hate crime statute.

A lone black guy confronted by a pair of gun wielding, red neck appearing white morons in Georgia.

If he feared for his life, which is likely, is it any surprise he tried to go for their weapons in desperation?

Bu bu bu he was black, isn't that justification enough?

This case seems considerably more egregious than the Trevon Martin case but maybe that’s just because it had film instead of just audio.
