[Quranic Reflection]: Women have the right to state their own rights in the marriage

[Quranic Reflection]: Women have the right to state their own rights in the marriage
One of the most misconception about the Quran that it allowed 'husbands' to beat a wife that beat the husband; but it didn't give the wife any mechanism to fight back if the husband commit tyranny against the wife.

But this verse states explicitly that a contract can be written between the husband and the wife that force the husband to fix his ways:

Quote:Sura 4, The Quran:
https://quran.ksu.edu.sa/index.php?l=en#...rans=en_sh

( 128 )   And if a woman fears from her husband contempt or evasion, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them - and settlement is best. And present in [human] souls is stinginess. But if you do good and fear Allah - then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

A wife can indeed make her husband not beat her for no reason or take her money with this settlement; and if a husband broke the wife's rules then he get punished with whatever she wrote in the contract of marriage.

In other words; the contract of marriage should include both the rights of the husband and the rights of the wife. And by verse 128 of Sura 4 the wife can state whatever rights she wants from the husband.

It says they CAN make a settlement between them. But nowhere does it say that the husband has to agree to any such settlement - he can simply go on beating her with no repercussions.

Irish women had it better hundreds of years before the Quran was written than a lot of Muslim women have it today.

There are a lot of reasons why it is presumed that Koran allowed 'husbands' to beat their wives, like in Islamic pedophilia marriages like that stipulation that Islamic divorce procedures “shall apply to those who have not yet menstruated” (65:4).

I mean are you telling me that some 30 year old Muslim married to 9 year old girl respects her and doesn't beat her? Even the sex between them is considered beating.

And even if woman is older there doesn't seem to be any respect towards her prescribed in Koran because Koran portrays women as essentially possessions of men. The Koran likens a woman to a field (tilth), to be used by a man as he wills: “Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will” (2:223).

And what about all the female sex-slaves Muslim husbands are allowed to have? I mean imagine the "respect" Muslims husbands have towards their sex slaves or is it a loophole because they are not technically married?
Because Koran tells us women sex-slaves have no rights, like the part that says Muslim is not to have sexual relations with a woman who is married to someone else—except a slave girl: “And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you” (4:24).

And Koran allows men to marry up to four wives, and also to have sex with slave girls: “If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice” (4:3).
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Though in the same Sura, 1 verse later:

Quote:Sura 4, The Quran:

( 130 )   But if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each [of them] from His abundance. And ever is Allah Encompassing and Wise.

If the rules of the contract are broken or the husband/wife divorces the other; then they should separate.

What if the man prefers to keep beating her up, and if he refuses to get divorced?

Then law enforcement should be involved to enforce the separation and arrest the husband for violating an official contract

But Allah doesnt seem to bother. Settle ment and divorce are optional , as you just showed.
Anyhow....Sura please, where the Quarn says law enforcement should be called.

I see. I think I see. A Muslim man can beat his wife with impunity, but if he violates a contract, THEN law enforcement becomes involved.

Cop: Your wife says you beat her with a club, and the beating left her with facial lacerations, broken bones, and internal injuries. Is this true?

Man: Yes, but there’s no contract forbidding me to do so.

Cop: Sorry to have bothered you, sir. Have a nice day.

Yes its strange: Allah, the big guy in town, has is as optional to settle a "dispute" between a (abusive) man and his wife, or to get divorced.
But when the Man refuses to agree to those "options", then its not Allah, but man (law enforcement) who needs to be called to save the wife.

Thats why i am asking him for a sura where Allah tells to set up and call law enforcement. If there isnt one, then Allah is a useless twat.
