Well, when it's ABBA you just have to get it out...you know, a purge.

Nice to know that ABBA makes even you puke.

Does it bother you that we have at least one song/ band we both like?

Alan , not Allan, but Alan Parsons?

Yes I like to "purge" ignorance and hate out of music.

You know ABBA doesn't make me puke. So don't even go there.

I think it bothers you that I gave you cooties and you like something I also like.

No, none of that bothers me.  I'm just amused that you seem unaware that one of the meanings of the word 'purge' is 'to vomit'.

You having the good sense to like something I like isn't bothersome - it gives me a glimmer of hope that you might not be beyond all help.  Our musical tastes have coincided a few times.  You're the broken clock that's right twice a day.

A thread arguing about music. How tiresome.

***Sigh***
Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

I agree, but I started this thread, and wasn't looking for a fight. I was simply sharing what I liked.

In all seriousness, if you have ever noticed over mundane things, people will fight over sports teams, and Ford vs Chevy.

I don't see how posting a song anyone likes should start WW3?

The only thing anyone can say is they like it, or don't like it. But it isn't a matter of national security for sure.

I have to be somewhat of a hypocrite now DAMN IT.

Take my word for it, I love them too, always will. But when I look back at them now, their lyrics in some of their songs come across as a upper middle class trust fund band.

How many people have the luxury of having access to a "Red Barchetta"?

My first car was a 4 cylinder brown 1970s  Dodge Dart.

But in all seriousness, they did have a great band, and Neil Peart can be arguably the best damned drummer in the universe. And I always loved Geddy Lee's voice. When I was a teen, I deliberately stayed up all night listening to the radio with my tape deck tuned to a rock station waiting for the rotation to play Tom Sawyer so I could record it.

This makes me want to start a thread for every funk, electro pop, dubstep, or swing song I have ever liked and encourage every poster on this board to do that same. Then maybe the importance of the music appreciation thread would be made clear.
