Yeah, but when 9-1-1 is called on me cuz I was unconscionably born black, I would rather the cops died in line or some other duty so I might not die for being born black.  But hipster would be alright. 

The fragmentation or society seem hard to avoid when some Major part of society think if the price of some Slight and notional increase in the security of people more like them is Other major parts consisting of people less like them Have to be killed for no reason, then people less like them should pay that price cuz it’s their own fault for not being as like them as would make them feel comfortable.

This is a lovely thread.

We have a couple white guys dismissing the severity of the problems black community faces in America, and folks with no experience as black people dismissing black people because they don't agree with a particular movement that they (the non-black folks) agree with.

As for cops, obviously they're needed. But the whole thing is just messed up when some cops think there's no problem being violent against unarmed black folks. Maybe the psychological screening tests for would-be police should be considerably stricter?
